   Winter skin care

During the winter season, the level of humidity in the atmosphere is low. Because of this, when the skin is exposed to the air it becomes irritated and dry. And when the skin does become irritated and dry, there are chances that it might lead to eczema.

One of the ways to take care of skin in the winter season is by using a humidifier. The heat is usually kept on in the winter season, and the windows are kept closed. Because of this the air becomes very dry, causing the skin to become dry as well. The use of a humidifier enables the air to become moisturized and reduces the dryness in the air, and thus the skin is also prevented from becoming itchy, cracked, and dry.

In order to keep themselves warm in the winter season due to the cold, people should wear more than one layer of clothing. Because of this when there is overheating and sweating, the layers can be taken off as needed, and this prevents triggering the scratch and itch cycle. When clothes and shoes become wet in the winter, they should be taken off immediately because of the fact that they can result in a flare up. The moisturizer which is used should have an oil base.
